A stand mixer stays out on the counter, so its color has to sit well with the cabinets, the counter and the fridge. Here's which mixer colors go with which kitchen, and what each mixer is like to own.
A stand mixer is heavy, and owners say it's hard to move, so it's the kind of appliance you leave out on the counter. That makes the mixer's color part of the kitchen, right beside the cabinets and the counter it sits on. So this guide starts with the kitchen you have, then matches the mixer colors we list to it, and then goes maker by maker, with the cons as well as the pros.

Stand mixer colors for white cabinets
White cabinets give a mixer color the most room. So over a light counter, red, green, blue, turquoise and yellow all work on a mixer, as long as there's one loud color and the rest of the counter stays quiet. And red looks best in a white kitchen, though it's also the color that dates fastest.
A dark counter under white cabinets changes the choice, because black disappears against it and light, warm colors carry. That's where KitchenAid's Dried Rose belongs, or a pale green such as Pistachio. One owner with a white kitchen first thought black would look best, then bought Dried Rose.

Stand mixer colors for wood cabinets
Wood cabinets already bring warmth, so the mixer color can be calm, in cream, a soft green, a deep red or navy. And cream in a wood kitchen is barely a color at all, and it's the one people never tire of. So Smeg's cream mixer, below, is the easy pick here, and KitchenAid's Matcha and Pistachio are the greens.
A wood counter under wood cabinets needs contrast in the mixer color rather than more warmth, though. So cream, black or a cool green reads more clearly there. And over a dark counter, wood cabinets make a heavy room, so a light color lifts it, and black and navy are the colors to avoid.
Stand mixer colors for dark cabinets
Dark cabinets over a light counter are the sharpest backdrop there is, and a saturated color looks expensive against them. So a red, such as KitchenAid's Empire Red on the Artisan Mini, works here. But an all-dark kitchen, with a dark counter too, needs a light mixer, so choose cream or a pastel and nothing in black. That's where Cuisinart's Frosted Blue fits, which one owner calls a powder blue.

Stand mixer colors for colored cabinets, or a kitchen with a colored fridge
Colored cabinets are already the statement, so the mixer shouldn't compete with them. So a cream or black mixer works well, or a mixer in a second color from the same family as the cabinets. And if the fridge is already a color, the fridge decides, because the fridge is the biggest block of color in the room.
Matching a mixer to a fridge takes care, though, because the same color name isn't the same color from one maker to the next. Because Smeg's Pastel Blue is pale, almost gray in a north-facing room, a pale blue fridge and a turquoise mixer won't sit well together. But red is more forgiving, since a red is nearly always a true red. So a Smeg fridge goes best with the Smeg mixer in the same Smeg color, and a red fridge, such as a red Del Mar, goes with KitchenAid's Empire Red.
The Smeg mixer comes in seven colors, the same seven colors as Smeg's toaster and kettle, but it's hard to find in stock right now. Only one red and one pastel green Smeg mixer were left on Amazon when we checked in early September 2026, and at Abt the pastel blue, pink and white were on pre-order in late September. So the cream and the black are the Smeg colors you can rely on today.
KitchenAid Artisan: more than twenty colors, and attachments that still fit
KitchenAid makes the Artisan in more than twenty colors and adds a new one every year, and the 2026 color, Spearmint, is sold on KitchenAid's own store, while we link eight Artisan colors on Amazon. Its bowl holds 5 quarts, with a 325-watt motor and ten speeds. And forty years of KitchenAid attachments still fit it.
The KitchenAid Artisan scores 4.7 out of 5 from 23,164 ratings on Amazon, across the colors we link (September 2026). But KitchenAid's product page doesn't state the length of its limited warranty, so we can't quote a length. And owners say the Artisan is heavy to move.

KitchenAid Artisan Mini: the KitchenAid reds in a smaller body
The Artisan Mini is the Artisan scaled down for a small kitchen, with a 3.5-quart bowl and a 250-watt motor, against the Artisan's 5 quarts and 325 watts. And the Artisan Mini is 12.3 inches tall, against 13.9 inches for the Artisan, and owners write that the Mini fits under their wall cabinets. It comes in Candy Apple Red, Empire Red, white and black, with a one-year limited warranty from KitchenAid.

The Artisan Mini scores 4.8 out of 5 from 3,836 ratings on Amazon, across the colors we link (September 2026). But one owner isn't impressed by how the Mini is made.

Smeg: the stand mixer in the colors of Smeg's toaster and kettle
Smeg's stand mixer has a die-cast aluminum body, a 5-quart steel bowl and ten speeds with a slow start. And a port on the front takes Smeg's optional attachments, such as the pasta set and the ice-cream maker, sold separately. Its warranty is one full year from Smeg USA, parts and labor.
Owners like how the Smeg mixer looks, and one owner prefers its head release to an old KitchenAid's.
"One of my favorite features is the button to unlock and tilt the head back. It's way better than my old Kitchen Aid."

The Smeg mixer scores 4.5 out of 5 from 98 ratings on Amazon, across the colors we link (September 2026). But Amazon's listings call it the SMF03 and Abt's call it the SMF05, so check the model number on the listing you buy from.

Cuisinart Precision Master: quieter colors and a three-year warranty
Cuisinart's Precision Master has the largest bowl here and the longest warranty, three years, limited. Its bowl holds 5.5 quarts in stainless steel, with a 500-watt motor, twelve speeds and a die-cast metal body. And its colors are the quietest, in frosted blue, agave green and dove gray.
But Cuisinart has marked all three colors discontinued on its own site, where only White Linen is still sold. And Cuisinart doesn't sell this mixer in Colorado, Maine or Minnesota. Still, the Precision Master scores 4.7 out of 5 from 418 ratings on Amazon, across the colors we link (September 2026), and one owner who likes it warns about the bowl.

A smaller step: Smeg's hand mixer
Smeg's hand mixer is a smaller way to bring a Smeg color to the counter, in six colors. It has 220 watts, nine speeds plus turbo, and a display that shows the speed and the mixing time. It starts slowly at each speed, so flour doesn't spray out of the bowl.
The pastel blue, pastel green, pink, cream and red Smeg hand mixers come from Abt Electronics, at $170 at Abt in late September 2026, and the black comes from Amazon. But Amazon mixes US and European listings of this mixer, so check that the model ends in US before you buy. Both sellers' hand mixers carry a one-year warranty from Smeg USA. And owners say the Smeg hand mixer is made for batters, not heavy bread dough.

Before you choose a stand mixer color
- Blue and green: compare the exact shade of each color, because a pale blue or green from one maker can look wrong beside another maker's.
- Height: measure the space under your kitchen's wall cabinets, because the Artisan stands 13.9 inches tall and the Artisan Mini 12.3 inches.
- Seller: check who sells each color, because the Smeg colors come from Amazon or Abt Electronics, each with its own delivery and returns.
- Recalls: no KitchenAid, Smeg or Cuisinart mixer here has a recall on record at the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (checked September 2026).
