What the Smeg hand mixer does
The Smeg hand mixer has nine speeds and a turbo, chosen with two buttons. Then a backlit display shows the speed and how long you've been mixing, in seconds and then minutes, and the display disappears when the mixer is off. And Smeg's smooth start brings each speed up slowly, so the flour stays in the bowl.
The Smeg hand mixer's body is die-cast aluminum, and it runs at 220 watts. It comes with three pairs of stainless steel attachments, beaters, dough hooks and whisks, and they store together in a Smeg fabric bag. Then a trigger releases the attachments when you're done.
The Smeg hand mixer weighs 3 pounds, and its cord is 5 feet long. And the handle has an anti-slip grip, while the motor has overload protection.
What the Smeg hand mixer doesn't do
The Smeg hand mixer's display is a count-up timer, not a countdown. So it tells you how long you've been mixing, but it won't stop the mixer when the time is up.

But the first owner of a pink Smeg mixer has a warning too, and that warning matters if you bake bread.

The Smeg hand mixer's colors, and where to buy each color
Black is sold on Amazon. But pastel blue, pastel green, pink, cream and red are sold by Abt Electronics, a family-owned appliance store in Glenview, Illinois, and each of those colors was $170 at Abt in late September 2026. So the seller can change with the color you choose, and the delivery and returns change with it.
Abt takes most items back within 30 days in their original packaging, and it may charge the return shipping. But Amazon's returns follow the seller on each listing. And whichever seller you choose, the warranty is Smeg USA's.

Who makes the Smeg hand mixer
Smeg is an Italian appliance maker based in Guastalla, near Reggio Emilia, and Vittorio Bertazzoni founded it in 1948. And Smeg began making small appliances in 2014, so the hand mixer is on the newer side of the company. As for safety, there's no recall on record for the Smeg hand mixer at the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (checked September 2026).
