Café is a brand of GE Appliances, which is owned by Haier and based in Louisville, Kentucky. It was a GE product line from 2007 and became a brand of its own in 2018, with its own store and its own warranty. The warranty is one year on the whole appliance, parts and labor. Damage to the finish is covered only if you report it to Café within 48 hours of delivery. In December 2021 GE Appliances recalled about 132,000 ranges made in Mexico, this model line among them, because a range can tip if something heavy is put on the open oven door and the anti-tip bracket was never fixed to the wall or floor. It covers ranges sold from May to July 2021 with a serial number that starts HS or LS and ends in P. The fix is a free home visit to check the bracket. A range bought new today is outside those dates; whoever installs it should still fit the anti-tip bracket. On Café's site it scores 4.4 out of 5 across 1,569 owner reviews, and 116 of those (7%) are one star. The one-star reviews we read describe electrical faults in the first months and a wait for a repair. Induction needs magnetic pans, and the pan should match the size of the element. Café's range pages never say where the ranges are built. GE Appliances, Café's owner and a Haier company, says its LaFayette, Georgia plant builds Café ranges, yet the 2021 recall of Café's 30 inch slide-in ranges says they were made in Mexico, and Canada's record of that recall names Mabe as the maker, and in 2025 GE said gas range production would move from Mexico to Georgia.

Repairs go through Bodewell, GE Appliances' own factory service, booked online or by phone, but a repair visit carries only a 30-day labor warranty. Abt reviewers of this range describe new ovens that stopped heating, and one wrote: 'I have been without a stove for weeks.'
